J.D. Power is at it again, this time seeking to find out which vehicles have the best seats. The 2020 Seat Quality and Satisfaction Study surveyed car owners to see which models had the least reported problems. Three Chevrolet vehicles topped the list in their respective categories.
The study ranked each model by how many reported problems they received per 100 vehicles. According to J.D. Power, it found that the most prominent issue for seat quality among owners was that they didn’t adjust sufficiently.
Thankfully, this was not so in the three list-topping Chevy models. The Chevy Sonic, representing the mass-market compact car segment, had only 2.5 reported problems. The Chevy Impala was the best for the mass market midsize/large car category. And the Chevy Equinox ranked highest in the mass market compact SUV category. Even the Chevy Silverado 1500 came in third for its segment.
The high-quality seating comes from the Lear Corporation for the Sonic, Impala, and Silverado 1500. Magna is responsible for the seating in the Equinox. Both companies provide comfortable and first-rate seating with a myriad of adjustable settings. Even the Sonic, an affordable and simple model, has a four-way manual driver seat and a two-way manual front passenger seat with the option to upgrade both to six-way.
Don’t just take J.D. Power’s word for it: test drive a comfortable and affordable Chevy model for yourself at Blaise Alexander Chevrolet today.
